Session 9 - eServices II

Abstract: Currently, the use of web-based systems has become the most appropriate means for automating processes and dissemination of results, having as a fundamental advantage, the quick access to information from any point where there is an Internet connection, without restriction of its geographic location. In this article, the process of operating a web system, designed and implemented as a free tool to support the management of information on social responsibility for SMEs in the financial sector in the city of Ambato. The objective of this system is to diagnose, manage, evaluate and disseminate the results achieved in terms of social responsibility and compliance with the co-operative principles by credit unions. In order to achieve this objective, qualitative and quantitative indicators were included in the software that are later combined in optimization functions, which allows to measure the level of achievement reached for these indicators. Among the main results obtained after applying the system in one of the financial SMEs are: a) by redefining its strategy and strategic objectives, it improved the coverage of services in rural areas and implemented four recycling programs, and b) in the principles of voluntary association and training, it was able to achieve acceptable levels of social responsibility, thus improving its corporate image for its clients, potential strategic allies and the government.

Abstract: In the XXI century, electronic commerce has been considered as an alternative to reduce costs, increase productivity, among other benefits perceived through the digitalization of billing. Although there is a large amount of literature on this, it is not focused on electronic invoicing platforms with notification delivery. In this paper, a systematic review of literature based on a reliable, auditable and rigorous methodology is carried out to know and clarify the state of the art in the subject related to electronic invoicing, technological aspects involved and notification systems. The analysis of the 39 selected papers from a total of 1202, shows the absence of studies that relate the use of notifications in e-invoicing systems.

Abstract: Governmental institutions around the world need funding to keep and raise their social and financial programs. One of the main incomes of different national and local governments is based on taxation. Increasing the income through tax payers has been and remains a challenge for government institutions. On the other hand, recommender systems (RSs) have presented evidence of successful results to improve business revenues in the field of eCommerce. This research presents a fuzzy-based recommender system model and its preliminary outcomes applied to a dataset from the Municipality of Quito. The proposed model shows some insights in the use of RSs to increase citizens’ awareness over tax payments and therefore enhance governmental institutions’ incomes.
